The Asian Centre of Aesthetics and Surgery (ACAS) was founded by a group of like-minded doctors who are passionate about their craft and teaching.
Aesthetic Medicine has become increasingly prevalent on the global stage in the last decade. This is in part due to improved living standards, rising incomes and prosperity in developing and developed countries; as well as tremendous improvements in biomedical technology and breakthroughs in pharmaceutical research and development. As a result, there is a steadily increasing number of medical professionals who are performing aesthetic treatments in their respective practices.
However, Aesthetic Medicine procedures span different medical and surgical specialities (e.g. dermatology, plastic surgery, oculoplastics, et. cetera), with the different specialties having more knowledge, skills and expertise in their own respective niche area of practice.
Therefore, ACAS was envisioned and founded based on the fundamental belief that only through a consultative, multidisciplinary approach would Aesthetic Medicine best practices prevail. Our centre aims to provide a structured curriculum and training program in Aesthetic Medicine to improve practice standards in Singapore and the region, thus maximising clinical outcomes and making treatments safer for patients.
